White Turtle III - Learning as I go!
White Turtle III – Inside, Learning as I go!

I have been learning a lot with the build of my van……… it has been a lot of fun, a challenge and I have to say again FUN!!!  I love learning new things and building the van has really challenged me to learn. Looking at the van today I am 100% done with the functional part of the build. I could leave tomorrow and drive anyplace in the world and the van would do what I want it to.

Finishing the small things

So doing the initial build was easy, but I am still doing the little finishing that needs to be done.  As mentioned before I hate to preplan the build to far in advance as things seem to change as the build progresses.  So I had a pile of small finishing projects to work on that I managed to get done over the past week.

Just Google it!

I hear so often about people that put all their faith in what Google tells them.  If something is wrong they Google it. If they want to know how to do something they Google it. I do the same thing when I am stuck I do it with a lot of caution.  It is not just Google that can be an issue it is any place that offers free information. Or FREE courses and classes.

The other day I listened to a guest on the radio tell about the pitfalls of listening to on-line results about medical diagnoses. He was saying how much someone can be messed up by the results.  If you want to know how bad it is just Google something like “Red bump on arm” and see the results. Anything from a cancerous growth, to a steph infection, to a poisonous spider bite when all it was was a mosquito bite.

Yellow-Headed Blackbird

Went out to photography the Yellow-headed Blackbird. Had a great day. The birds co-operated and the weather was amazing.

When I think of spring this is one of the birds that I think of.  They are loud, brightly colored and fun to watch. On top of all that they really don’t care if you are taking their picture.  So many birds once a person comes into their range they act differently.  Not these guys!!  They will sing and dance for hours!

Printing – to custom profile or not, that is the question!

Printing

After reading many posts on various forums about printing and using color profiles (canned VS custom) it got me thinking. I decided to do some tests to see the difference between provided profiles from Epson and paper manufacturers and the profiles that I make.

Equipment:

  • Epson 3880 (x2)
  • Epson P7000
  • Colormunki Photo running the new I1 Studio software
