Christmas Day frost

Came back from walking the dog and really wanted to do some more pictures of the Christmas day frost. It was so nice I did not want to drive any place and possibly miss it. Grabbed a macro lens and headed out to the front yard to see what there was. Sometimes the best pictures are those right in front of your face. This was the case with my front yard, there were lots of photo opportunities.

It was actually a great day even with the clouds and the frost as it felt really warm with zero wind. Could take a few months of this temperature to enjoy getting outside and shooting. So one of my best presents had to be the Christmas day frost but I don’t think it will hang around.

Coaldale Parade Of Lights

Well you know that Christmas is fast approaching when the Coaldale Parade Of Lights comes to town. I don’t think that I have seen a better day for the parade, it started to snow early in the day and continued till just after the parade. A great scene seeing the floats with a light snow falling around them, it sure beats the minus 30 a couple of years ago.

As always some great floats lighting up the night, for our family it is the kick-off to the Christmas season. Add to that a great Turkey dinner at Wally’s and I am getting excited about the next 28 days.

Here are a few of the 300 plus images that I shot at the parade..
