An afternoon trip to Writing on Stone this past weekend. It was overcast and cool but the colors were amazing!!! Love this park when it is not unbearably hot!
Surprisingly there were a lot of people camping considering the weather was cool and damp. But as usual as soon as you walk a few feet into the coulees you may hear the people but you seldom see them. Not a lot of animals out this trip, saw a number of Pronghorns just outside the park but that was it.
The great thing about his time of year is that it is cool there. If you are going take some snacks and water as after this weekend (September 30, 2018) the information booth will be closed and that is the last of the services till May 2019.
