I have been wanting to do this exposure chart for a long time and with it being a snow day it was a good day to work on it. It is not designed to be a 100% complete with data or is it to explain everything but it is a good cheat sheet to help when shooting.
You can print a copy of it for PERSONAL use only as long as you do not remove or alter any information.

I was out walking the dog yesterday and could not believe how hot the sun was. A good sign that spring is coming and with spring the birds. I love the spring birds as they are in good health and their colors are starting to enhance so what better time for a bird course.
This year I have added a full day with (6 hours) of shooting.
Is it time for a change in your life and business or are you on track? Once again I wake up and check out the sites that I usually frequent and read about everything in life that I am doing wrong; from what I eat, to what I say and do, to what my desires are to how I operate my business. BUT the strange thing is that those that are writing the posts to put me and others down are usually the ones that have the issues that they are slamming in others.
One person was saying that to operate a successful business that we need to give 200% of ourselves to make that business a success BUT they have had several bankruptcies. Another person says that to be a great photographer we need to push our limits but they admit that they have seen zero growth in their business as they are still trying to do the same thing today as 10 years ago.
Something I try to do daily, weekly, monthly and yearly is to look at what is working in my personal life and business and keep going with it and to see what is not working and to change it. It is not easy but I believe it must be done if we are to keep moving ahead. I keep in the back of my mind the saying “Insanity Is Doing the Same Thing Over and Over Again and Expecting Different Results”. With the end of 2017 we need to take this to heart and look at what needs to be changed and then do it!!!
I often get calls that ask me if I have a certain type or make of paper and most times I have to reply “sorry no I don’t”. Then I am asked why? Well there are a lot of different companies that make paper and some really good companies at that. The problem is that each paper has good qualities and bad and I have to weigh that before I bring the paper in.
I have always been a student of business and love reading and watching movies about business stories. One of my favorite movies is about Burt’s Bees and how one “backwoods” person could find something that he loved to do and make a business out of it. Continue reading “Business”
This is something I hear from many photographers and it is usually related to dealing with all the digital files that are on a camera card. It seems like these things multiply like rabbits, you go out to shoot a few pictures today a few tomorrow and a few the next day then when you have a minute you sit down at the computer and WOW are there a lot of files.
