To help break up winter lets looks at some strange things that happen in the photography world! If you know me you will know one of my sayings is ‘There are no stupid questions” but sometimes people say things that cannot be explained as being anything other than really strange. A couple weeks ago another photographer stopped in and we got discussing some of the strange things that people have said over the years. Seeing that it is so cold outside here are a few laughs to warm you up….
I love Pheasants for the fact that in the winter they are so colorful in the drab winter colors. I miss my spring birds, their calls and the colors 🙁
Many of my friends and clients know about the new company vehicle that I am working on. In case you didn’t I will put some updates and information here on the blog for you to follow along with. (also it is too hard to keep sending out information to people that ask about the progress so I can link it here under the category VAN ).
Another one of my babies ready to leave for its new home!!! Love this view of the bridge!
High level bridge, Lethbridge, Nature Prints, CPR
Photo Courses, Workshop, Photo Tours, Photo Expeditions, Photo Safaris
So before I start let me say I think EVERYONE should take a Course, Tour, Expedition or Safari from me – because I am such a nice guy But what if you want to go someplace that I do not go and you want to hire someone to help with your photography, what should you look for?
First what is the difference in the above terms (unfortunately there is no hard and fast rule for what the terms mean) but here is what I generally find:
I hear this so many times in a week, people come in with pictures and the first thing they say is “You probably cannot do anything with this picture” or “I don’t think it is worth restoring”.
The truth is that almost all pictures can be improved – from adjusting the contrast, adjusting color or repairing scratches the image will look better.
But is it worth doing anything? From a history point a view MOST DEFINITELY!!! Once an image is gone or destroyed so bad that you cannot tell who or what was there it is to late. So get the image repaired ASAP! Get the image copied or put on a digital back-up that way if the original does get destroyed or lost you have copies.
If you have an image you are not sure about bring it in, I charge nothing to look at the image and let you know what can be done and what it will cost. Plus all the work is done in Lethbridge with the image being digitized while you are waiting so no shipping the image away to get lost.
